We have now moved this site (www.prelinefamily.co.uk) into maintenance mode whilst we do the messy part of the development.

This will allow us to develop the system cleaner. The system will then launch allowing the following features; -

Existing customers will be able to order items online quickly and easily

You will be able to search through over 25,000 of our stock lines

Soon afterwards we will be adding many new features to make finding thr product you need even easier and we will be sharing out a huge amount of information to make dealing with any of the Preline Family companies simple.

As you can see we are still developing the new site with feedback from you as we do so. I hope that we can implement all the suggestions we get as we go.

One of the big challenges we have faced in developing the online part of the Group has been the creation of a fully transactional ecommerce site because we want this site to seamlessly work with our joint computer system (Microsoft Great Plains) so when an order gets entered on the site it also goes straight into our back office system ready for shipping.

Huge amount of work and effort is going into that now and if you click on the existing customer login link at the top of the page now you’ll see this page but if you want to see where we are up to Click here. Its not finished, its being worked on every day but we are of the opinion that its good to have it up and then people can see where we are headed.

The central site for the group will then give access to every product in our catalogue and allow our customers to place orders etc for the items they have taken before as well as allowing new customers to order from us using credit cards.

The individual sites we are launching for each branch will then showcase the skills of each branch and allow them to write articles and information that helps the customers that they have and the products they supply.

As you can tell, we have a shiny new website for Preline!

Its been a few months in the planning and making and is the start of a much larger online project for the Preline Family which will soon allow our existing customers to place orders online in a fast and easy way.

The plan is that we will be launching a site for each of the businesses within the group throughout the coming months with a central group site that is being created to allow us to take and process orders online. The order taking site should provide a fast and easy way for you to place your orders and sets the foundation for us to potentially integrate with your back office systems in the future too.

Each of the Preline sites will focus on the areas that each particular branch specialises in with articles, news and demonstrations to help you get the most from dealing with us.

The sites will all have a ’social’ element too where you can comment or ask questions right in the article itself making sure that we provide the information that you need in the language you want to hear.

We would all welcome any feedback you may have as we develop the sites and we are actively seeking requests for articles you would like to see!
