3M Safety Walk is a product designed to help make slippy surfaces non-slip. Safety Walk has a non slip coating on one side and on the other either a pressure sensitive adhesive or it can also be applied to a metal plate that is screwed into place.

A typical application would be to apply the self adhesive cleats of safety walk to stairs where there was a risk that people could slip and fall, it is also often used on ramps to make the surface easier to negotiate.

Available in the following versions in rolls, cleats and plates or even in custom shapes where needed.

• Coarse - larger mineral coating for greater performance
• Conformable has a foil backing that allows the bond between the anti-slip and the floor to be far stronger
• Resilient - Rubber rather than abrasive grains make this ideal for places where bare feet may come into contact with the safety walk

A simple solution to a potentially costly problem, 3M Safety Walk

The 3M Roloc system is a simple but effective one.Each of the Roloc products has a small plastic button on the back to fix it onto the Roloc holder and the discs then simply twist on and off in an instant.

Some advantages of using the Roloc system include: -

• Simple twist on twist off button allows you to change discs quickly and easily
• The choice of different discs allows you to swap from weld dressing fibre discs to Scotchbrite surface finishing discs in seconds.
• Disc sizes ranging from 25mm - 75mm allow controlled grinding of a small area which means that further operations to finish the surface are minmal.
• Consistent quality that you would expect from the 3M brand.

Often referred to as ‘industrial velcro’ the 3M Dual Lock system of reclosable fasteners make it easy to create a semi permanent and long lasting fastening between two surfaces.

The design of the Dual Lock system can be simply explained by saying that it consists of raised plastic ‘mushrooms’ that when pressed together interlock. The strength of that bond is determined by the number of raised mushrooms per inch, 170, 250 or 400. These can even be mixed to give varying levels of strength in between the grades.

So by adding a 400 side to another 400 side you get an almost permanent lock where as a 170 to 170 would give a far easier to separate join.

Each of the 3M Dual Lock products has a strong double sided tape on the reverse to allow you to bond the plastic part to nearly any surface.
