A new product to 3M™ is the 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ DP6310NS. The new adhesive can replace traditional mechanical fasteners and welds as the adhesive is an innovative bonding solution offering high performance, structural integrity, lighter weight and easy application. With minimal surface preparation needed and with the ability to bond multiple materials it is a better alternative to traditional mechanical fasteners.
The 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ DP6310NS is a multi-purpose urethane adhesive for bonding composites, plastics, metals and wood. The adhesive is high-strength bonding with some flexibility to accommodate thermal expansion and contraction differences with dissimilar material bonding.
DP6310NS adhesive can replace rivets and screws in attaching composites to other substrates, providing a more aesthetically-pleasing, fatigue-resistant bond line, bonding well to most metals without requiring priming.
Benefits to 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ DP6310ns:
- ability to bond most composites and dissimilar substrates
- primerless to most surfaces
- non-sag formulation resists running of adhesive
- excellent water and humidity resistance
- great chemical resistance
- solvent-free adhesive system
- room temperature cure
Reasons to Choose 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ DP6310NS:
The two-part urethane adhesive has outstanding strength and performance for multi-material and composite bonding.
Bonding for the Future:
